The Kittens Gallery
These are some of the kittens that have been with us, they recovered and got happily adopted.
Wonder kitten
The little ginger baby arrived with her siblings. They were barely 2 weeks old. It seemed like the mother passed away from panleukopenia. Her two siblings shortly developed symptoms and died. I stayed up for three days straight taking 30 minute naps between feeding and medications that needed to happen every 2 hours.
She was so sick and had a high fever that I had to resort to tube feeding. It was the only way she could get enough in her to give her the strength to fight. After almost a week of intense care, she finally was able to drink water on her own. We had to wait 6 more weeks to spade her, to make sure she was free of the virus, but soon after she met her forever family.
Mr. Meowgee and Wolfenstein
Mr. Meowgee and Wolfenstein were brought to the shelter by a woman who found them laying around the body of their disease brother. They had full blown pneumonia, they couldn't open their eyes and one of them had to be tube fed. After 8 days they were the epitome of health! They were happily adopted together.
